Tobe Witmer

Tobe Witmer: Senior Pastor

Pastor Tobe Witmer was born and reared in Morgantown, WV. His father owned a business and his mother was a homemaker. He grew up in a great Bible preaching church.

At age 10, after years of burdened doubting, he called upon the Lord to save him. A few years later in junior high he was called to the ministry under the preaching of Dr. Bob Jones III. Tobe earned his Bachelors degree in Bible and Masters degree in Pastoral Ministry from BJU. In 2020 he was granted a Doctoral of Divinity degree from South India Baptist Bible College. Tobe serves as a corporate chaplain for local companies as well as an Honorary Commander for the Delaware State Police.

Pastor enjoys playing guitars, motorcycles, working with his hands, and family.

Tobe's wife, Amy, received Christ in college after doubting her salvation through her teen years. She graduated from BJU as an Art Education Major and presently teaches High School Art and health in a local school. She is also a piano teacher and ministers in various ministries, such as, music, women's Sunday school teacher, and leading the First Touch Ministry to visitors. Tobe and Amy have 5 children, elementary age through adult.

Amy enjoys horses, biking, music, art, and family.

Pastor Witmer's ministry includes expository preaching, teaching, counseling, and training, and would like to write in the future if the Lord provides the opportunity. The Witmers have been in the pastorate since 1992, and became the first pastor of Lighthouse in 2002.

Josh Canedy

Josh Canedy: Associate Pastor

Pastor Josh began his ministry as pastor of student ministries and outreach at LBC in May 2013. He holds a bachelor's degree in Bible and a master's degree in Biblical Counseling from Bob Jones University.

Pastor Josh came to a saving knowledge of Christ at the age of 7 after a Sunday evening service. Convicted of his sin and need of a Savior, Josh sought out his dad who happily showed him from Scripture how to be saved.

After Pastor Josh's senior year of high school, he surrendered his life to full time ministry with a specific burden for youth ministry. Josh met his wife Megan through summer teen ministry at the Wilds Christian Camp. Megan also holds a bachelor's degree in Biblical Counseling from Bob Jones University.
